Robert May Robert is recognized as a founder of the global multimedia industry. He holds several US and international patents in the field of information architecture, has been featured in interviews on CNN, CNBC, Canal Cinq, BBC, and Deutsche ARTS networks, several documentaries, Newsweek, Red Herring (cover), Industry Standard magazines and many other media. He has served on various committees and boards including the SF Mayor's Multimedia Commission. He is the author of the Nantucket Manifesto, several articles and monographs and speaks regularly at conferences worldwide. His twenty year career as an entrepreneur and senior manager spans diverse professional services companies extensive international business experience. An expert in Internet business strategy, Robert was most recently the founder/chairman/CEO of Ikonic Inc. a leading strategy consultancy specializing in information technology business development for international Fortune 1000 companies offices in San Francisco and New York City. After selling Ikonic to USWeb/CKS (NASDAQ: USWB) in 1998, Robert became managing partner reporting to USWeb's president. Prior to these positions, Robert was founder/partner of Mojo, an international design practice specializing in promotional materials for the music business offices in Washington DC and Switzerland. Philip Schlein Member, Board of Directors Phil Schlein is a venture partner at USVP, where he came in after a successful 28-year career as an operating executive in the retailing industry. For 11 years prior to joining USVP, Phil was President and CEO of Macy's California. Under his leadership, Macy's California sales grew from just under $200 million to almost $1.2 billion; profits grew from $17 million to $108 million. Phil began his retail career R.H. Macy, Inc. from 1977 to 1984 and on the Board of Directors of Apple Computer, Inc. for eight years from 1979 to 1987. Malcolm Williamson Member, Board of Directors Malcolm Williamson was appointed president and chief executive officer of Visa International, the world's leading payment system, effective October 1998. Malcolm joined Visa after having served as group chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank, a major international banking group operations in nearly 50 countries, since 1993. He joined Standard Chartered's Board in 1989 as the executive director, Banking, becoming managing director in 1991. He was appointed non-executive director of the National Grid Group on August 1, 1995; appointed to the Board of British Invisibles on June 10, 1996; elected a member of the Council of the Industrial Society on November 18, 1996; and became UK chairman of the British Thai Business Group on March 6, 1997. Krishnan Menon Co-founder/Member, Board of Directors Krishnan Menon is an acknowledged thought leader in the areas of electronic retail merchandising strategies and digital commerce publishing systems. As co-founder, Krish held the office of President/COO where he put together the technical team and spearheaded the design of the Rosetta Stone of Fit. Krish was recently global practice leader and managing partner of the Retail Practice at MarchFIRST, the world's foremost Internet consulting company, serving 60 of the Fortune 100 companies. While at MarchFIRST, Krish took Williams-Sonoma from scratch to a complete clicks-and-mortar operation, creating and integrating an electronic channel their retail, catalog and distribution systems. His portfolio includes several international retailers: Debenhams & Harrods in the UK, El Corte Ingles in Spain and JCPenney & The Sharper Image in the USA. Krish serves on Microsoft’s Internet Advisory Board, is a founding member of the Standard for Internet Commerce and also serves on Allaire Corporation's advisory board.
